This fully-functional windup mechanical clock has been specifically designed to take advantage of and show off the capabilities of the Sinterit Lisa. It is a single piece with no assembly required and will work as soon as all the powder is removed. It features an open body to assist in powder removal and to display its inner movements. A star and voronoi pattern adorns the face, giving the clock a touch of elegance. To use, wind up the bottom spring in the direction of the arrows on the case.

To my knowledge, this is the first fully-functional 3D printable clock that can be created in a single print!

Note:
I have spent a great amount of time trying to ensure that this clock will actually work once it is printed, including designing and simulating the springs and clock movements. However, I can't print it to physically test it, so if for some reason it doesn't work, feedback would be greatly appreciated so I can fix it. Thanks!

Design Notes:
This model has been designed with Sinterit's PA12 material in mind. The material data needed to perform the calculations for the mainspring, balance spring, and balance wheel has been gathered from the data provided by Sinterit (see the first three entries in the reference section). From these, the elastic modulus has been taken to be 0.9 GPa, and the density to be 1 gm/cm^3. Additionally, all clearances between movable parts has been kept to at least 0.5 mm to prevent these parts from fusing together.

If printed on a different printer, the mainspring, balance spring, and balance wheel should be adjusted for the new material properties.
