A Hobo Reel is a bushcraft tool. It is a fishing pole designed to fit in your backpack and is traditionally carved from wood, but this should last a lot longer so it's better. I designed this with custom pipe threads and a deep shaft to ensure the cap and handle are watertight when assembled without the need for an o-ring or a gasket. I have tested it and it is indeed watertight. It also floats, which is a bonus.
The inner cavity is meant for storing whatever tackle you may decide to pack this with.
Go look up a video on Hobo Reels, it's a pretty functional bit of kit!
Layer Height: I went with 0.12mm because I wanted the threads to be smooth so it would fit together nicely. I tried one at 0.2mm and the threads looked horrid!
Infill: I did one at 30% and one at 10% and both turned out just fine so 10% is probably best just to save material and because it is noticeably lighter.
