I'm still fairly new to arduino and 3D printing, this is one of my first projects: I'd love to hear your feedback :)
This year i spend a lot of time working on an arduino home automation project. A lot of people arround me have shown interest in knowing more about it and how it's made and what it does. -> Short Video
For this part of the system i've used the following parts:
- DS3231 RTC Module
- Temperature reader
- USB charger + cable
- TM1637 clock display
- Wemos D1
- PLA Filament
- LED and switch
- Transistor 2N2222
Total cost: € 6,31
The arduino (wemos) is connected to the router using wifi. The wemos has build in wifi. The wemos hosts a webpage in the local network of the router, as long as you're connected to the router you can connect to the page by entering the configured ip adress into your browser.

The home automation system consists of multiple systems that are controllable using a webserver that is accessible by any device with access to a web browser.
For 3D printing i used an Ender 3 or a DMS DP5 (with E3DV6 hotend). I used the Ender 3 for PLA and the DMS DP5 for ABS (with custom enclosure).
Different parts of the project:
- Fish feeding system
- Plant watering system (controlled with humidity sensor)
- Smart plug
- Alarm Clock
