Because of the many successes of Romania in the Olympic Games for Gymnastics, there are many nods to the sport across Deva. Deva holds the school of gymnastics (out of which are a series of busts of female gymnasts, also available on Scan the World). This sculpture depicts the progression of woman completing a front handspring.
