This is almost a replica of the original hose adaptor & handle of the Hitashi CV-9800YJ Vacuum Cleaner with the exception that it does not have a relief valve which is typically found in the handle itself.
The design is made with 3D printing in mind for ease of printing and minimal supports. The two pieces can be assembled by adding some glue and then sliding the handle into the adaptor. V2 can be assembled without adding any glue and it just snaps in place.

Update 7/17/2018
I have printed V2 and I confirm that it works perfectly! It takes a bit of force to connect them together but once they are attached, it would be impossible to separate them without breaking the parts.
V2 also has a little bit tighter tube diameter meaning that the vacuum tube fits tighter. V1 still has good tightness and feel but by keeping both V1 and V2 files you can choose whichever fits your preference better ;)

I have added V2 but I have still to test it out so if you wish to print right now, print at your own risk.
V2 has a snap-fit mechanism between the handle and the hose adaptor and you shouldn't need to use glue. I'll confirm with my results once I complete this print but for now since the time is short for the competition's deadline sake, use V1.
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Infill: 30%
Supports: add supports and a brim for the handle since it's a bit tall to make sure it's well stuck on the printing bed. Adaptor requires supports as well. Just make sure there are no supports in the tight angles(where the handle slides) because they can be difficult to remove.
To ensure that the print handles some beating for a long time, try printing in PETG or ABS. PLA does okay if you prefer to print with it as well.
Check the pictures to have an idea on where to add supports.
