Version 2: Update
- The original file wasnt exactly flat on its side as it should be, while it was still possible to print it, it was a bit annoying to work around. So I'm attaching a Zip file with the updated angel rings with and with out the hole for the base.
- Notes: I did manage to print this without supports or raft, but supports are probably needed around the center eye part if you want it to be as clean as possible. I would also recommend supports for filliments that require 210c or higher heat, because the middle eye area can warp and pop off the build plate.
- Included an image of the new version in the purple filament
- I am leaving the old files attached. The original files will work fine in resin and overall have a more rounded feel to them.
Angel loosley based on the biblical description found in Ezekiel 1:15-21 - 'Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.'
Instead of making them interlocking rings like a chain, I thought it would be cooler to make it into a gyroscope because that would be more fun to play with!
Included are:
- Base
- Wheel (rings with eyes)
- Left wing
- Right wing
- Wheel with out key hole. (if you simply want it as a neat fidget spinner)
vvv Printing Tips vvv
The wheel is a print in place model. It is ideal to print it flat on its side. Depending on the type of filiment used and supports needed you might also require a raft.
I had a buddy of mine test print this in resin. https://www.myminifactory.com/users/AnimalMachine
He is also a creator here on this site so go check out his stuff as well!
The orientation of the wheel applies in this case as well. It is recomended to print the first layer slower to help prevent peel process.
The resin was tricky but doable, if you plan on using it as a toy I would recomend to print this in PLA as the curing process can cause the pins to become brittle and snap.

6 hours for the base 8 hours for the rings and 16 hours to print each wing. Hand painted and I love it
