Here is the requested piggy bank version of my Sir Pigglesfree model
In this case he is Sir Piggles-not-so-free as I am making a small charge for him.
He is a functioning piggy bank with a threaded stopper for easy coin retrieval. The coin slot is large enough to accommodate most currencies.
His dimensions are:
X:140mm
Y:187mm
Z:155mm
The assembly is simple and demonstrated in his photographs
This piggy needs supports for the thread cavity underneath. He will also need good cooling for his tail area and his chest. I have printed these without supports, but it is up to you.
The stopper can print without support if your printer does decent bridging but if unsure then include them.
The piggy bank model and stopper I printed in PLA with the following settings:
.2 layer height
3 perimeters/shells
10% infill
I advise you print the threads and threaded body in a hard wearing filament (I used PETG) as they are working parts.
I printed with settings as described above but used a 20% infill.
To assemble:
Take the threads and the threaded_body and ensure they work well together. You may need to use some sandpaper to ensure a good fit.
Once happy, glue the threads into the stopper
Glue the threaded body into the cavity underneath the pig model.
Allow to dry thoroughly before use.
