Flint Vases
Flint Vases

I love drawing inspiration from nature, and one of the things I've admired are the swoops that form on the chipped surface of rocks that somewhat mimic the valleys and crests of a rough sea. From that admiration I created these Flint Vases.
These 4 vases are variations of a common form, stretched in different directions.
Print in vase mode/spiralize mode. 0 top layers, and at least 2 bottom layers (I like to use 10-15 for a more bottom heavy print). Layer height should probably be kept below .2mm as some overhangs are a bit steep. Smaller layer heights tend to improve the surface quality. I also set my layer width to 0.8mm for my 0.4mm nozzle.
Models pictured were printed with Polyalchemy Elixir PLA

Amazing vase design! I made this one with glow in the dark filament. Print settings: 0.4mm nozzle X, 0.2mm layer height and 50mm/sec Vase Mode print.
