Small tool to quickly measure small metric screws in the range of M2, M2.5, M3, M4, and M5. Quick go/no go slots for rough diameter, a slot for the length, and threaded holes in the back to confirm the standard thread sizes.
Originally shared on Thingiverse and was on the front page for a while, amassing nearly 10k likes. But, Thingiverse is increasingly more frustrating, so I'm looking for a new home for my things.
Simple print, although inserting a filament change before the final layers with the text is a good idea to make the numbers stand out. Alternatively, you can use a Sharpie or paint pen to highlight the tops of the numbers to get the same effect.
If you are going to use the threaded holes in the back, you might want to use a smaller layer height in order to get better results on the threads, especially the smaller ones. However, if you have metric taps, you can chase the threads afterwards.
