On March 21, the birthday of Mihrimah Sultan, when you look at both mosques from a point you will see; Edirnekapı is the moon from the minarets of the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque in Üsküdar as the sun sets behind the only minaret of the Mihrimah Mosque.
Mimar Sinan, Mihrimah's Persian word meaning "Moon" and "Sun", on the birthday of Mihrimah Sultan's two mosques have been sealed.
