designed to be a cookie cutter style bullet retrieval tool for pan lubing cast bullets. inspiration drawn from such tools as Wax Meister and Things in my life bob"s bullet lube kit. parts and tolerances were designed around my DLP resin printer. there is no reason a quality FDM would not be able to print this however surface finish and internal spaces may need post processing like sanding to make sure everything fits correctly. my resin printer is a longer orange 10 and i can arrange all the parts on the tiny build plate to print all needed pieces in under 5 hours using .05mm layer heights. layer height shouldn't have much if any effect on performance because all critical surfaces are vertical so using .1mm layers to reduce print time might be advantageous. assembly is obvious but the body and cap are mated and glued then the plunger feed up through the body being retained by the plunger cap which should also be glued. there is room for a spring to be fitted between the plunger cap and the body cap to simplify operation. keeping in mind the brittleness of most photocuring resins, this part was designed around the combined strength and toughness of resins like Saraya Tech Blu. other resins that are "ABS" like or having some yield before breaking may work but ultimately leave the part too rigid and brittle to use without breaking. all tolerances were designed to have .001 inch clearance. dry fit before gluing and sand or adjust any tight parts before gluing. designed in fusion 360 by me, an inexperienced designer of any kind.
time to print at .1mm layer height according to chitubox is 152 minutes, at .025mm layers it is 372 minutes.
all parts for one berfrax tool can be fit and printed on my resin printers build plate (longer orange 10)
the berfrax body imports to the slicing program inverted, use the flatten by face feature to put the top on the build plate and the mouth pointing up, that way it will drain and have maximum contact area with build plate. print should not require any supports.

second print of this and the tolerances are much better having addressed overexposure induced dimensional expansion in the first tool causing excessive sanding and manual fitting. this time the only parts needing sanding were the cutting mouth of the tool an the plunger.
