This began as a school project. The fool I was to think that it would stay that. I have some building instructions on the way, but those are available for free! Check back here for more info.
All cards on the table, you will need to buy some steppers. I have the ones I used in an Amazon link in the building instructions. Any and all links are not affiliate links and besides motor and file purchases, any software and code cost you nothing!*
Enjoy!
UPDATE: So Darksky was recently bought by Apple, which is a bad thing because the API is now living on borrowed time. Apple has said the API will live on through the then of 2021, but they are no longer accepting new users. Because a large portion of this is powered by Darksky (at least in the version I built) the main function of this object is now limited for new users. If you download this now, it may actually be easier to code for without Darksky. I originally made this to vary its RPM depending on the local wind speed, but unfortunately, Darksky can no longer serve that purpose for new users.
I printed most of this in AMZ3D PLA at 0.15mm layer height. The tower was done at 0.2 layer height. Infill is pretty light, just make sure you have at least 3 shells.
