The formidable Ender Dragon is one of the largest boss mobs in minecraft!
After having to fight past Ender Men it seizes the opportunity to strike, swooping in on the player with an aerial attack.
The Enderdragon is a fierce enemy destroying blocks that get in its way.
Allow it to cause havoc on and off the screen by printing this movable model!
The printed model is able to move in many ways to strike a number of different poses:
-The front and back legs rotate
-Its jaw is able to open and close
-It can flap its wings
-Its neck and tail can move fluidly in all directions.
I designed this in SolidWorks basing it from shots of the dragon taken from different angles.
I've used 7 sections to form the neck and 13 to form the tail in this model, but feel free to experiment in your own models adding different numbers for different effects.
The model was printed off in black PLA then the tips of the wings, spines, eyes and mouth where painted to add some more character.
Enjoy bringing the Ender Dragon into the real world with this very interactive model.
Wire is used through the parts to allow the dragon its freedom of movement. Standard 2mm garden wire was used in this model. Once you have the printed parts, simply thread the wire through the wings and a piece all the way through from the head to the tail. Twist off the wire at each end to keep it in place. Twisting off the wire as tightly as possible
