This is a spool holder I designed for the racks that Joel created for his studio. This should just slide in under a spool 1 handed without having to move anything out of the way and be able to hold thin and thicker spools. The Prusa spools are the widest I have, so I tried to make it wide enough for that. The only supports that should be needed is for the clip on the base where the 2 parts attach. I had to make it 2 parts because I can't print something that large and this way the arm can also print flat on the print bed instead of also needing support.
I've created a second version of the arm adding some triangle holes thinking it would be less plastic or be lighter, but it litterally just added an hour to the print time, so I don't think it made it any lighter. I can only hope that it added some strength instead...
Added a smaller base clip. It probably could have been just 1 part like this, but Hey, why not... Now it can be multiple colors! OHHH SNAP. And I find i hard to model connecting parts, so I like the practice.
