I felt that with simple spoolholder designs that just clip on to the front board of the shelf, there is a higher chance of breaking because of the stress of holding +1kg spool is resting on a single point.
For this design I thought it would be better to split the stress into two different points: The front and back boards. The curved "tail" applies light pressure against the back board, acting as both support and foundation to the attachment.
Speaking of attachments, I designed both the clip and the holder as separate parts so that these prints can fit within a 200sq print surface. There is a .3 tolerance so you should be able to simply insert each part together easily soon after removing the support material. Gluing them together will help with structural integrity.
