Description
figure of Virgin Mary, North Germany ca. 1425, Oppesundby Church, Sjaeland, National Museum (Copenhagen, Denmark). Made with Memento Beta.
The back is as usual hollowed out with an axe to prevent cracks in the wood. The paint has been cleaned of the front, but the original colours are partly preserved. Both Mary and the child were painted with flesh colour and golden hair. Mary wore a white head-cloth and a white cape with gilded edgings and blue lining. Her dress was red with painted decoration in gold, green and yellow and a dark colour, possibly originally silver. the shoes were black and the soil green.

I fell in love with this sculpture after first seeing it at Sketchfab (https://is.gd/Sketchfab) and was delighted when it was made printable and shared here. My print isn't very good right off the printer. I'll need to further finish it. I wanted to share a few shots of it. Thank you so much again for your hard work Geoffrey!
