Mechanical Heart for Proposal - This is my entry into the Sinterit design competition in the Mechanical category.
This Box has been designed to be given as a gift to your spouse. It's a perfect suprise for a wedding proposal. The idea behind it is once the heart is rotated it will reveal a beautiful wedding ring.
This is a fully assembled print and is specifically designed to be printed on the Sinterit SLS printer. It is made up of 2 halves which rotate around the "i love you" frame. The left half rotates clockwise which will rotate the right half counter-clockwise. As the bottom halves move away from each other it will pull the inner components out which will reveal the secret compartment where you can place a ring. I tried my best to give the moving parts a bit tolerance to move smoothly.
I hope you like it :)
For printing on an FDM printer, print the separate parts and assemble with glue. Use the photos and assembled model as assembly guides. Print the heart halves laying flat with the outer surfaces facing upward, using support. Use support on the rest of the components as required.
