UFO model with the outer disk that spins free from the central body.
A fun print from the Thingiverse galaxy!
Please read the instructions before printing...
Print with 3 shells and 35% fill with Raft On but NO SUPPORT. This should ensure you don't break the legs when removing support as they will be solid (Note: 5th Generation MakerBot users are advised to use 4 shells for added strength as the print detail is finer). .
The required support is drawn into the design and will break away cleanly from the base after printing with .PLA (ABS will not print the extreme angles used in this model without more support).
Refer to the images for details of support removal. There is two rings and a circular support surface under the outer disk and the same again applied under the inner body inside the legs. Break away carefully and, once removed, the outer disk should spin.
